WE HAVE UPDATED OUR POLICY REGARDING PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

EU’s General Data Protection Regulation is coming into force on May 25th  2018, hence we are to inform you, that we keep your personal information such as name, e-mail address, telephone number and company address.

These data are solely used to meet our mutual agreements in a business relationship and/or in regards to inquiry for our products and/or testing and analysis as well as invoicing and freight booking.

Pelcon does not perform any marketing promotion and we do not share data with any other party other than designed for one of the above activities.

It is important to us that your data is well protected, and therefore we would like to inform you about our updated policy on protection of personal information/data.

Data protection has a high priority for PELCON, and we want to be open and transparent when it comes to how we process your personal data.

We have for this reason made a policy on how we process and protect your personal data.

Who is responsible for your personal data?
Pelcon Materials & Testing ApS (“PELCON”) is responsible for the personal data you give us and PELCON is responsible in regards to EU’s GDPR.

Who has access to your data?
Your information is only shared internally in PELCON or to trusted third-party companies in order to fulfill agreements on delivery, payment and service.

What are your rights?
Your right to access data:
You have the right at any time to be informed which of your personal data we have registered. Please contact PELCON, and we will inform you by e-mail.

The right to correct data:
You have the right to request to have your personal data corrected if they are incorrect and insufficient.

The right to delete data:
You have at any time the right to have your personal data deleted, except for the following situations:

  • You have an unsolved case with PELCON
  • You have a pending case, which is not yet closed, or only partly closed.
  • You have an economical balance with PELCON
  • If you have made a purchase we will keep your personal data according to book keeping rules in Denmark.
  • Book keeping rules (Bogføringsloven) must be kept – e.g. data on sale is to be kept for 5 years.

You have the right to oppose the use of your data bases on legitimate interests:
You have the right to oppose the use of your data based on PELCONs legitimate interest. PELCON does not continue using your personal data unless we can prove a legitimate interest to do so, which sets aside your request and rights and/or based on legal requirements.

Your right to oppose to direct marketing:
PELCON does not do any marketing activities such as newsletters.

The right to limited usage:
You have the right to request limited usage of your personal data with PELCON under the following circumstances:

  • If you object the usage based on PELCON’s rightful interests PELCON is obliged to reduce all use of the personal data, while it is corroborated whether our legitimate interests precedes your interests.
  • If you find your personal data to be incorrect PELCON shall limit all usage of the same data while the validity is checked.
  • If PELCON no longer need your personal data, but they are requested to be able to make a legal claim.

How can you exercise your rights?
We take data protection very seriously, and thus our employees always treat you requests according to the above mentioned rights. You can always contact us writing to pelcon@pelcon.dk.

The right to complain to an authority:
If you think, PELCON is handling your personal data in an incorrect manner you can contact us at pelcon@pelcon.dk.  You also have the possibility to make a complaint to the Danish Data Protection Authority.
