The 20th Euroseminar on Microscopy Applied to Building Materials (EMABM) was successfully held in Denmark in June 2026 and was hosted by PELCON.
This important specialist event brought together 55 participants from 14 countries across Europe and beyond, providing a valuable platform for international scientific exchange in the field of microscopy of building materials.
The seminar offered a wide-ranging scientific program during the four days. The opening day featured a series of hands-on workshops led by PELCON staff. The subsequent two days hosted 28 sessions; all centered around microscopy and microstructure of various building materials with sessions covering Sustainability, Cement, SCM, Natural Stone, ASR/ACR, Sulfide/Sulfate, Carbonation and Analysis Technique. The last day of the seminar included another workshop which featured live casting in the lab at PELCON.
